About AstrologyViewer

AstrologyViewer is a free, independent Vedic astrology (Jyotish) platform that turns your birth date, time and place into a complete, accurate janma kundali — and then helps you actually understand it. Our goal is simple: make classical Indian astrology precise, transparent and accessible to everyone, in English, हिन्दी and ગુજરાતી, without paywalls or sign-up walls.

What we offer

Every tool on AstrologyViewer is calculated live from real astronomical data — nothing is templated or pre-written. Our tools include:

• Birth Kundali (D1) with Lagna, Moon sign, Nakshatra, all nine grahas, house positions, degrees and retrograde status.
• Divisional charts (Vargas D1–D60) including Navamsa (D9) and Dashamsha (D10).
• Vimshottari, Yogini, Ashtottari and Chara Dashas down to five levels with exact dates.
• Yogas & Doshas — 50+ classical yogas, Mangal Dosha with all Bhanga (cancellation) rules, Kaal Sarp, Sade Sati and more.
• Ashtakavarga, Shadbala and classical strength tables (Bhavabala, Vimsopaka, Ishta-Kashta, Avastha, Chara Karakas).
• Kundli Milan (Ashtakoot 36 Guna) and Rashi-Tatva Melapak for marriage compatibility.
• KP System (Krishnamurti Paddhati) with sub-lords, 249 divisions, horary and cuspal predictions.
• Panchang, Muhurta finders (marriage, vehicle, griha pravesh, travel) and a daily calendar.
• Numerology (Ank Jyotish) — Life Path, Destiny, Soul Urge, Personal Year, Kua number and Lo Shu grid.

How we calculate — our methodology

Accuracy is the whole point of an astrology calculator, so we do not cut corners. Planetary longitudes are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris, the same high-precision ephemeris used by professional astrology software, cross-checked against the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris. All charts use the Nirayana (sidereal) zodiac with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the standard adopted by the Government of India's Calendar Reform Committee. Our KP module uses the Krishnamurti ayanamsa and Placidus house cusps, exactly as the KP system requires.

Because we compute from first principles rather than lookup tables, the results reflect your exact birth moment and location — including the correct Lagna, house cusps and nakshatra pada.

Who this is for

AstrologyViewer is used by curious beginners who just received their first kundali, by students of Jyotish who want a reliable calculation engine to check their own work, and by families exploring marriage compatibility (Guna Milan). Whether you want a quick Moon-sign reading or a deep five-level dasha analysis, the same underlying calculations power every page.

Our commitment to you

• Free. Core tools are free to use. The site is supported by advertising.
• Private. We do not sell your birth data. Charts are generated on demand; you can read our full Privacy Policy.
• Multilingual. English, Hindi and Gujarati across the whole site.
• Educational. Every result links to explanations so you learn why, not just what. Start with our Learn Jyotish guides.

An important note on interpretation

Astrology is a tradition of symbolism and self-reflection, not a science of guaranteed outcomes. AstrologyViewer provides calculations and classical interpretations for educational and entertainment purposes. It is not a substitute for professional advice — medical, legal, financial or psychological. Please treat all predictions as indicative guidance and make important life decisions using your own judgement and qualified professionals.
